The Development Services Department protects public health, safety and welfare; preserves Danville’s history; and retains the community’s special character. This is achieved by ensuring that all development applications are reviewed for consistency with the General Plan, Town ordinances and development standards. It is also accomplished by reviewing permits and providing inspection services to ensure public safety; judiciously using the code enforcement to maintain quality neighborhoods; providing for the safe and efficient movement of people through all modes of travel; and designing and constructing capital infrastructure in a manner that meets community needs and expectations.
