Clean Water Program

The purpose of the Clean Water Program is to efficiently utilize available funding to reduce stormwater pollution which protects our creeks and San Francisco Bay. The Town does this by operating a comprehensive Clean Water Program. The Program's activities are managed in accordance with National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit requirements are enforced by the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board’s Municipal Regional Permit (MRP). The program includes:

  • Danville Green Infrastructure Plan (PDF)
  • Conducting educational and outreach activities
  • Operating a business inspection program
  • Implementing an integrated pest management program
  • Implementing new development / redevelopment stormwater controls
  • Performing field inspections
  • Monitoring and maintaining our creeks
  • Trash control operations
  • Maintaining the Town’s storm drain system and corporation yard activities

  • Regularly sweeping streets
