Dog Park Tuesday Closures & Winter Moratorium

During the normal usage season, the Canine Corral at Hap Magee Ranch Park is closed for maintenance every Tuesday until noon. This closure will allow maintenance work to be completed at the site while minimizing the impacts on the user groups. Tasks will be conducted such as:

  • Mowing
  • Irrigation repairs
  • Weed abatement
  • Hardscape repairs and others

Turf Life

This weekly closure will also allow the grass a day of rest which should extend the life of the turf to further enhance the usability of this area and maximize the experience for patrons of the dog park.

Inclement Weather

The park is also closed during periods of inclement weather. Please visit our Sports Field and Dog Park Conditions page for the most current status.

Winter Moratorium

The Canine Corral will be closed for Winter Moratorium from December 1, 2025, to February 27, 2026. The Canine Corral will reopen on March 2, 2026 weather permitting.
