When will the ballots be counted?

A Public Hearing will be held on May 20, 2025, in the Town Meeting Hall. The Town Council will receive public testimony and formally accept the ballots. The ballots will begin to be counted on May 21, 2025 at the Town Offices where any interested parties may observe the process.

What determines a majority protest?

If a majority of ballots returned oppose the formation of LLAD No. 2025-1, it cannot be approved, and the current LLAD No. 1983-1 assessments will continue to be imposed. Ballots will be weighted according to the proportional financial obligation of each property. This means one vote for each one dollar of proposed assessment.

When will we know the results?

The results of the ballot tabulation will be reported to Town Council on June 3, 2025.
