[ARCHIVED] Summer Nights Entertainment Returns to Danville

Free series of concerts and family-friendly movies start June 14 

The Town of Danville is excited to announce the summer 2024 entertainment lineup for the Moonlight Movies and Music in the Park series. Gather friends and family, make a picnic, or pick up dinner from your favorite Danville restaurant, and enjoy an evening outside. A free concert or movie is scheduled each week, from June 14 through August 3. 

The Moonlight Movies series returns Friday, June 14 at the Town Green. These Friday evenings will start at 6:30 p.m. with games and activities for families to enjoy followed by a movie when the sun goes down. The 2024 Moonlight Movies schedule is: 

  • June 14: Aquaman (2018, PG-13)  
  • June 28: Aladdin (Live Action) (2019, PG)  
  • July 12: Angels in the Outfield (1994, PG)  
  • July 26: Super Mario Bros (2023, PG) 

The Music in the Park series returns Saturday, June 22 and wraps up August 3, with all concerts at Oak Hill Park. Saturday night concerts will start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m., with a 20-minute intermission. The first three concerts will be at Oak Hill Park, with a rotating selection of food trucks. The final concert will be on the Town Green, and visitors are encouraged to pick up dinner from Downtown Danville restaurants. The 2024 Music in the Park schedule is:  

  • June 22: MomoTomboSF, featuring former members of Malo and Santana (Latin Rock) 
  • July 6: Jackson Michelson (Country)  
  • July 20: Judd Hoos (Alternative/Indie/Rock) 
  • August 3: Unauthorized Rolling Stones (Classic Rock) 

Moonlight Movies and the August 3 Concert in the Park parking is available at the Village Theatre and Front Street parking lots. Parking access for the first three Music in the Park concerts will be available at the Oak Hill Park Community Center parking lot and the Monte Vista High School parking lot next door. 

These concerts and movies are free and open to the public. Food and beverages are permitted, and guests are encouraged to bring blankets and/or chairs to sit on, as well as layered clothing in case the evening gets cool.
