Musical duet will feature the violin and harpsichord January 19.

The Town of Danville kicks off another year of the Classical Music Corner series with The Laudami Ensemble. The January 19 performance will be the fifth concert in the series, and feature the classical sounds of Bach, Vivaldi, Froberger and others at the Village Theatre.

The Laudami Ensemble is a period instrument ensemble based in the Bay Area that consists of Laura Rubinstein-Salzedo on the baroque violin and Michael Peterson on the harpsichord. Their lineup for the Classical Music Corner performance will include works by Bach, Vivaldi, Froberger and others.

Recent shows in the Classical Music Corner series included the Albany Consort and a string quartet performance with opera singer Sara Couden in 2023. Tickets for the January 19 concert are $20, and advance ticket purchase is recommended and available now at www.danville.ca.gov/tickets. A $10 student and educators discount available for tickets purchased at the door with a valid ID (box office opens an hour prior to the show).

The concert begins at 7 p.m. The Village Theatre & Art Gallery is at 233 Front St. in Danville. For additional information on the Classical Music Corner, contact John Dunn at 925-314-3418 or jdunn@danville.ca.gov.
