[ARCHIVED] Danville Celebrates Star Wars with May the 4th Be With You

DANVILLE, Calif. (April 18, 2023: The force is strong in Danville: This year marks the 8th anniversary of the Town’s annual May the 4th Be With You celebration. Families and fans of all ages can join the rebellion on Thursday, May 4, as the Town of Danville hosts a day to celebrate all things Star Wars.   

Starting at 11 a.m., community members can stop by the Danville Community Center to pick up a free scavenger hunt list and look for Star Wars characters at participating Downtown Danville businesses. The first 100 participants to complete the hunt will receive a grab bag of treasures from a galaxy, far, far away!   

Parents can sign up young Padawans for Jedi Training to advance on their path to becoming a Jedi Master. Jedi Training will take place on the Town Green from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required, and the cost is $6 per child. The Jedi Training event will include activities, crafts, and a costume contest for the most out-of-this-world costumes.  Visit to register.
