Police Investigating Robbery in Danville 

Shots exchanged by suspects and neighbor during incident

 

At around 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, Danville Police received notification of shots fired on Hartford Road in Danville between Rutherford Drive and Camino Amigo. Police advised residents to avoid the area. 

Several suspects attempted to rob four residents who had just parked their vehicle on the 200 block of Hartford Road. The suspects were armed with handguns. There was an exchange of gunfire between the robbery suspects and a neighbor who witnessed the robbery. The suspects fled in their vehicle. There were no reported injuries as a result of the gunfire. Danville Police and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Crime Lab are on scene and continuing the investigation. The suspects are outstanding at this time.

The 200 block of Hartford Drive remains closed until the scene investigation has been completed.
