Music in the Park and Moonlight Movies

Free Events Coming Up In Danville This Summer

The Town of Danville is excited to announce a summer full of free events with Music in the Park and Moonlight Movies in Danville.

Oak Hill Park is the venue for the first three Music in the Park events. On Saturday, June 25, relive the best of the ’90s with Mad About You: The Ultimate Tribute to the ’90s. On Saturday, July 9, FLO (Funky Latin Orchestra) will put the community in the groove with Latin Rock. Saturday, July 23, will feature a Bob Seger and Credence Clearwater Tribute with CCSEGER.  Finally, enjoy contemporary hits on Saturday, August 6, at the Town Green with Beat Frequency.

All Music in the Park events start at 6:00 p.m. and finish at 8:00 p.m. Participants should bring blankets or chairs and food to enjoy while listening to great music. Local Danville businesses will also be providing food for purchase.

Moonlight Movies returns to the Danville Town Green this summer. The Town will be showing “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (PG-13) on Friday, June 17. “Mighty Ducks” (PG) on Friday, July 1, and then the beautifully animated comedy-drama “Soul” (PG) on Friday, July 15. The summer series ends with the Disney Classic “Cinderella” on July 29. Be on the lookout for some characters at the Town Green on June 17 and July 29, courtesy of The League of Heroes Inspired, an organization dedicated to art therapy and mental health healing.

Moonlight Movies participants are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs, grab a picnic from home or get some food to go from any of Danville’s local restaurants and settle in to enjoy a movie under the stars. Movie times are projected to start at around 7:50 p.m. but the start time could vary slightly depending on how much light is still out. Free crafts and activities will also be available from 6:30 p.m.

The latest information on all Town events can be found on the website calendar at    www.danville.ca.gov/events
