Police Investigate Car/Pedestrian Fatal Traffic Accident 
Pedestrian killed after being struck in intersection

 

Danville Police are investigating a fatal car/pedestrian accident that occurred on the evening of Thursday, June 2, at the intersection of Camino Tassajara and Wood Ranch Road.  

Danville Police Chief Allan Shields said that at approximately 8:06 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian.  The pedestrian, a 32-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, and immediate family members have been notified.

The driver remained at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Danville Police Department.  Camino Tassajara was closed at Wood Ranch Road for several hours as police continued their investigation. The roadway has since re-opened.
