Memorial Day Observance Ceremony

Community invited to Oak Hill Park for return of annual event

 

The Community is invited to honor and remember local veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States who died in service, and their families, at Oak Hill Park, 3005 Stone Valley Road in Danville, on Monday, May 30, 2022, at the Memorial Day Observance Ceremony. 

All are welcome to this event. Visitors can follow the American flags lining Stone Valley Road to Oak Hill Park, where a pre-program concert will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the special Observance Ceremony at 11:00 a.m.

Dennis Giacovelli will host as the Master of Ceremony and will be joined by guest speaker, Major Jim Taylor, US Army (Ret.). Danville Mayor Newell Arnerich will offer the Welcome Remarks and the Danville Community Band, with Conductor Dr. Robert Calonico, will provide the music, with a salute to service branches of the Armed Forces of the United States.
