Police Investigate Altercation at Ace Hardware in Danville

  Suspects sought in $1,100 theft

Danville Police are investigating a robbery at Danville Ace Hardware, 3438 Camino Tassajara, that occurred during the afternoon of Sunday, December 5, 2021. At approximately 3:48 p.m., police were called to a verbal argument at Ace Hardware in Danville. Based on the initial investigation, police determined that three men entered the Ace Hardware store and took tools worth approximately $1,100. An employee attempted to get the license plate of the vehicle while in the parking lot and was assaulted by one of the suspects. The suspect robbed the employee of his phone and then fled with his accomplices in a tan-colored Chevrolet Trailblazer. The employee suffered minor injuries. 

The three suspects involved in the theft were described as:

Suspect #1: Asian male, approximately 30 years old, 5 ft 09, 150 pounds, wearing a Golden State Warriors Jersey

Suspect #2: Asian male, approximately 30 years old, 5 ft 10, 150 pounds, wearing a Golden State Warriors Jersey

Suspect #3: Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 6 ft, 220 pounds, wearing a black hat, white T-shirt, and black sweatpants.
