[ARCHIVED] Town Creates Downtown Fairy Hunt

Town Creates Downtown Fairy Hunt

Local businesses participate to host fairies

With giant colorful mushrooms on display in downtown Danville this summer, the Town of Danville is following on the magical theme and inviting younger community members to join a Fairy Hunt to help find all the fairies scattered at local businesses in downtown Danville.

Fairy hunters can start their quests by visiting www.danville.ca.gov/findthefun where they will find instructions and printables to get them started. Fairies have been hidden along Railroad Avenue, Hartz Avenue, Prospect Avenue, and Front Street. In each location, the fairies can be found in a mason jar filled with lights. Fairy hunters should count up all the locations and head to the Town Green at 420 Front Street where they can drop off their guess to a fairy door hidden in one of the trees on the Green. All correct guesses will be entered into a raffle for prizes from the participating businesses.

While at the Town Green, participants can make a wish at one of the wish trees. Fairy cut-outs can be found at www.danville.ca.gov/findthefun and can be colored or decorated and pinned to the wish trees.

The latest information on all Town events can be found on the website calendar at www.danville.ca.gov/calendar.  Residents can also follow @danvilleparksca on Instagram for more information on Fairy Hunt Fridays.
