[ARCHIVED] Start 2021 Off With Laughter

Start Off 2021 With Laughter

A new year of Comedy with Liz Grant starts with Brian Kiley

2021 is getting off to an amazing start as Comedy with Liz Grant & Friends welcomes headliner Brian Kiley to the virtual stage.  Set to appear in the online program January 16, 2021, Kiley brings an amazing comedy background to Danville.  Kiley is the head monologue writer for Conan O’Brien, and has made appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman” seven times, four times on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and twelve times on “Late Show with Conan O’Brien.”   He has been nominated for 16 Emmy Awards in his career, and in 2007 won an Emmy for Writing in a Comedy/Variety Series.

Joining Kiley at the January 16 show is audience favorite Tony Sparks. Known for his animated ad-libs, he is considered a legendary and beloved figure in the comedy community.  For 18 years he has captivated crowds as host of the most difficult comedy arena: open mic at The Brainwash Laundromat & Café on Folsom Street in San Francisco.   The show is hosted by the always funny Liz Grant, whose repertoire includes stints opening for Dana Carvey and Robin Williams and winning the Brian Regan Impression Contest.

The show will be held on Zoom at 7:30 p.m., January 16, 2021.  Price of admission is $15.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.danville.ca.gov/vtshows. The Zoom link to the program will be emailed out one hour before showtime.
