[ARCHIVED] Danville's Got Heart!

Danville’s Got Heart!

Residents invited to take part in art contest showing love to first responders

The Town of Danville is inviting residents to participate in a friendly art contest showing that they’ve got heart. A community-wide art contest is being launched for families to participate in while home on the shelter order.

How it will work:  download the heart template found on the Town of Danville’s website, print and color in the heart at home. For the creative types, feel free to make “heart art” with materials around the home. Color the heart in with a message to all of our essential service workers such Police, Firefighters, grocers, pharmacists, and healthcare workers, to show them they are loved and appreciated for all their hard work.

This is a great way to spend downtime during the shelter in place order, and to show the first responders they are valued.

When the heart art is complete, put it in the front window of your home, or shop, or even in your car window. Once the art is up, email a photo to to be entered in to the contest. The Town will select the top three heart art entries by May 1, 2020 and the top three winners will receive a gift certificate to one of our local sweet shops.

Help spread the love by posting it to social media and be sure to tag the Town’s social media accounts @townofdanvilleca, @danville.artgallery, @danvilleparksca, with the tagline #danvillesgotheart.
