[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Harry Potter's Birthday with the Town of Danville

Happy Birthday to ‘The Boy who Lived’

Harry Potter fans invited to a magical day of celebration

All muggles are welcome to join the Town of Danville on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 to celebrate the 2nd annual Harry Potter Birthday Bash.  

The birthday festivities start at 12:00 p.m. at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front St.  Aspiring young wizards and witches will practice spells, play Quidditch, and take a potions class.  Cost is $5 per child. Visit  to register and use activity code 20986.

Go on a journey through every book during the Harry Potter story walk. Grab your passport at the Danville Community Center and visit participating Downtown Danville businesses to find a sticker. After collecting all seven stickers, return the passport to Town staff and be entered to win magical prizes.

Stop by the Village Theatre and watch as the stage transfigures into a cinema, featuring Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (PG). Tickets for the show are $5 general admission and can be purchased by calling (925) 314-3400 or by visiting Seating begins at 3:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 4:00 p.m. 

The Danville Library will also have Harry Potter activities going on throughout the week and on July 31.
