Cinco de Mayo with a Jazz Flair at the Village Theatre

Darryl Rowe Quartet takes the stage for the next Jazz Room Show




Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with fantastic music as the Darryl Rowe Quartet comes to the Village Theatre May 5, 2019 for the next concert in the Jazz Room series. The Jazz Room, founded by Eve Marie Shahoian is a town-sponsored series that occurs monthly at the Village Theatre.

Joining Darryl Rowe are Casey Felsom (piano), Kenny Brown (bass), and Randall Merritt (drums). The quartet will perform original music, along with jazz and pop standards from a wide variety of artists from Duke Ellington to Sting.  The Darryl Rowe Quartet has been performing in the Bay Area for the past decade and is regularly featured at venues such as Yoshi’s.  Darryl Rowe has been awarded both the Pacific Coast and Fullerton Vocal Jazz awards for Outstanding Jazz Performance, and has worked previously with Sergio Mendez, Bobby McFerrin, Woody Herman, Dexter Gordon, and Patrice Rushin. 

The show is set for 8:00 p.m., May 5, 2019 at the Village Theatre & Art Gallery, 233 Front St.    This event is intended for all audiences.
