Holiday Pop-Up Gift Market Coming to Prospect Park Plaza

The Town of Danville is excited to announce a special Pop-Up Gift Market taking place in Prospect Park Plaza on Saturday, December 13 and December 20, from noon to 3 p.m. This outdoor marketplace will bring a cozy and vibrant seasonal atmosphere to the plaza, offering the charm and warmth often found in traditional winter markets. Visitors can browse one-of-a-kind items from local makers while live music fills the air. The plaza will also feature new festive backdrops, perfect for snapping a cheerful holiday photo with family or friends.

The Pop-Up Gift Market is part of the Town’s ongoing effort to support local businesses and maintain activity and vibrancy to the corner of Hartz and Prospect avenues following the recent closure of Starbucks in the adjacent storefront. With the festive spirit in full swing throughout Downtown Danville, there’s no better time to experience the plaza’s winter transformation and see how the space is being reimagined for the season.

“The Town made a significant investment in our community with the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project, and we don’t want this vacant storefront to subdue the festive mood Downtown,” said Town Manager Tai Williams. “As we wait for a new tenant in the adjacent building, the live music and pop-up markets offer a wonderful opportunity to support our local entrepreneurs while bringing energy and celebration to Prospect Park Plaza.”

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stop by, explore the pop-up shops, enjoy live music, and take part in a festive community marketplace experience.
