Tiny masterpieces on display at the Village Theatre Art Gallery starting July 12
The Village Theatre Art Gallery is proud to present its 15th annual juried exhibition, Art in Miniature, a celebration of small-scale works that highlight the power of detail, precision, and creativity. The exhibition will be on view from July 12 through September 19, with an opening reception Saturday, July 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Village Theatre Art Gallery in Downtown Danville.
This year’s exhibition features 89 miniature artworks by 36 talented artists, each exploring the limits of scale in mediums ranging from sculpture and painting to ceramics. Each piece measures roughly 4x6 inches or smaller, inviting viewers to look closely and appreciate the craftsmanship involved in working at such an intimate size.
The Art in Miniature call for artists attracted national and global interest, with submissions received from across the United States and beyond. The furthest submission came from South Africa, underscoring the international appeal and reach of this unique exhibition.
The 2025 show is juried by local acclaimed miniaturist artist Barbara Stanton, known for her expertise and dedication to the art form.
