Shop, stroll, and celebrate as Downtown Danville lights up with holiday cheer and activities
The Town of Danville invites the community to embrace the spirit of the holiday season during Swing into Danville, a festive lineup of events and activities kicking off November 30.
The celebrations begin with Small Business Saturday November 30, a day dedicated to supporting local businesses in Downtown Danville. Shoppers can enjoy free “I love Danville” canvas tote bags with purchases at select stores, while supplies last, as they explore the town’s charming shops and boutiques. Danville’s Downtown and many shopping centers are filled with small businesses and one-of-a-kind finds.
Live swing and jazz performances will bring the new Prospect Park Plaza to life every Saturday November 30 through December 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. Danville businesses will also compete in the Storefront Decorating Contest from December 7 to January 4. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through downtown, admire the decorated windows, and vote for their favorite display. Those who vote will be entered into a free weekly drawing to win prizes from local businesses.
For families, the holiday season in Danville is packed with memorable experiences and events. Children can drop off letters to Santa at Santa’s Mailbox from December 2 to December 13, with the promise of personalized replies from Santa himself by Christmas Eve. The fun continues with the Elf Workshop December 13 and 14, where kids aged 1 to 9 years can craft holiday treasures and take photos with Santa. Tweens aged 8 to 12 years can also enjoy a special Holiday Hangout December 12, featuring games, challenges, crafts, and prizes.
With dazzling lights, festive music, and heartwarming events, Swing into Danville offers something for everyone this holiday season. For a full schedule of events and details, visit www.danville.ca.gov/shoplocal.
