[ARCHIVED] Relive the Tom Petty Experience Live with The Big Jangle Band

Big Jangle

Seasoned East Bay musicians bring the ultimate Tom Petty tribute to the Village Theatre May 31.

The Town of Danville will host the Bay Area’s ultimate Tom Petty tribute concert with The Big Jangle Band live at the Village Theatre May 31 at 8 p.m. Gather your friends and head to Downtown Danville for a night out with your favorite Tom Petty tunes.

The Big Jangle Band is a San Francisco Bay Area group dedicated to playing all things Tom Petty. Since 2012, The Big Jangle has captured the Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers concert experience, not only playing the music of Tom Petty, but the songs he covered live, such as those with the The Traveling Wilburys, The Byrds and Stevie Nicks. These seasoned musicians will recreate a live Tom Petty experience right here in Danville.

Make a night of it by visiting one of the many Downtown Danville restaurants within walking distance of the theatre. Tickets are $25 and are available now at www.danville.ca.gov/tickets -- advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended. The Village Theatre is located at 233 Front St. For additional information on this event, contact John Dunn at 925-314-3418 or jdunn@danville.ca.gov

The Village Theatre & Art Gallery building dates back to 1913, and has been part of the community since its start as the Grange Hall. The building hosts quarterly art exhibitions and numerous live performances annually. The Art Gallery and theatre box office are open Wednesday-Friday, noon to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The box office is also open one hour prior to any live performance start time.
