One Voice: Many Visions Opens with Public Reception Jan. 29
The Village Theatre Art Gallery invites the community to kick off the new year with the opening reception of One Voice: Many Visions, a compelling exhibition featuring artwork by artists of Indian origin that explores identity, heritage, and the experience of living between cultures. The opening reception will take place Thursday, January 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., offering guests the opportunity to meet the artists and experience this powerful collection of contemporary works.
Presented by the Indian American Artists Association (IAAA), One Voice: Many Visions showcases vibrant works inspired by the colors and textures of India, ancient scriptures, and modern life. Each piece offers a unique perspective while contributing to a shared narrative of balance, renewal, and creativity. The IAAA is a collective of artists of Indian origin dedicated to showcasing diverse voices and artistic approaches, illustrating how many individual visions can come together to form one powerful story.
Following the opening reception, the exhibition will be on view January 30 through March 27 as part of the Village Theatre Art Gallery’s winter exhibition season. Additional activities include a series of exhibition-related workshops as well as the launch of the Town’s first permanent public art exhibition, Acorns of the Old Oak.
The Village Theatre Art Gallery is located at 233 Front Street in Danville. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Gallery is open by appointment only on Mondays and Tuesdays, and closed Sundays.
