[ARCHIVED] Danville Launches Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt Across Downtown

Danville Launches Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt Across Downtown

With the holiday season in full swing in Danville, the Town has launched a fun, interactive scavenger hunt to find more than 30 Auggie Elves hidden throughout participating businesses.

The hunt officially kicked off during Lighting of the Old Oak Tree, when local businesses unveiled their festive displays and tucked Auggie Elf into clever hiding spots. Now through the end of the year, residents and visitors are encouraged to see how many elves they can find as they explore Downtown Danville and enjoy unique storefront decor. Locations are listed on the Discover Danville app, which features an interactive map to guide participants from stop to stop. Visitors can also vote for their favorite holiday displays now through January 4.

There’s no better time to embark on the Holiday Hunt than during Danville’s Small Business Saturdays. Each Saturday through December 20, Downtown Danville comes alive with live music in Prospect Park Plaza from 1 to 3 p.m., along with special promotions from local shops and restaurants. The charming, walkable atmosphere makes it the perfect place for family outings, gift shopping and festive fun.

The Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt is just one of many ways Danville is embracing a “less frenzy, more festive” holiday season by encouraging the community to slow down, stroll through the beautifully decorated downtown and enjoy the warm, small-town atmosphere.
