Get Involved
Help shape the community we live in by getting involved in town government, attending a public meeting, volunteering, joining an advisory body, or simply remembering to shop local in support of our local merchants. Danville offers a wide variety of programs and initiatives to help you get involved in your town.

www.DanvilleTownTalks.org expands the community’s options for providing input, ideas, feedback, and comments on local issues and is a great way for the Danville community to connect with their town government.

Commissions & Committees
Consider serving as an appointed representative on one of the Town's Commissions or Committees. The most important qualifications for serving are an interest and willingness to serve. Clicking on the link above will take you to the commissions page, which has a list of open commission seats, as well as information on how to apply.

Town Meetings
For those who want to feel their voice is heard but do not have the time to make a commitment to a commission or committee, the Town Council meets the first and third Tuesday night of each month at 5:00 p.m. Meetings are currently being held via the web-video communication platform Zoom.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend public meetings of the Town Council and the Town’s Boards and Commissions. View the Danville Public Meeting Schedule (PDF). Please note that meeting times can change. Verify meeting dates and times on the posted agenda.
The Town of Danville encourages citizens to participate in public meetings. Members of the public can watch or listen to meetings via the web-video communication platform Zoom. Agendas are posted on the Town website: https://www.danville.ca.gov/agendas
Public comments may be provided in one of two ways:
Zoom - verbal comments
Email - written comments
Zoom: To provide live comments during a virtual meeting, join the meeting at the scheduled time via the Zoom link provided on each agenda. When the agenda item is opened to public comment, click on the "Raise Your Hand" option in Zoom. Your name will be announced and you will have up to 3 minutes to share your comments.
Email: To provide written comments, send an email to the staff contact listed on the agenda prior to the comment deadline. Correspondence should include the meeting date and agenda item number. All comments received prior to the deadline specified on the agenda will be provided to the Council/Commission/Board members in advance of the meeting.
