Danville Housing Element Update
The Town is pleased to announce the next major milestones in the Housing Element Update process.
You are invited to
help shape Danville’s future by creating your version of a housing element that achieves the minimum 2,241-unit target mandated by the State of California. Use the
Housing Plan Simulation Tool to ‘add’ what you believe is the appropriate number of housing units to qualified housing sites.
The Town will be hosting three online public Housing 301 Workshops during the month of July. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to use the Housing Plan Simulation Tool, as well as have any other questions regarding the Housing Element process. Register for a workshop using the links provided below.

Draft Danville 2023-2031 Housing Element (“Draft Housing Element”), which is now available for public review. The public comment period for this initial draft will close on
August 1, 2022. Public comments received will be incorporated into an updated Draft Housing Element that will be submitted to the State of California for review. A final Draft Housing Element, reflecting the State’s review and comments, will be considered by the Planning Commission in December 2022 and subsequently by the Town Council in January 2023.
