Motorcyclist Dies in Traffic Accident
San Ramon Valley Blvd closed due to accident

 
Danville Police are investigating a Sunday traffic collision that resulted in the death of a 52 year-old Danville resident. 
 
At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2020, the victim was driving his motorcycle south on San Ramon Valley Boulevard near the intersection of Fountain Springs Dr. when a bicyclist riding in the southbound bicycle lane lost control of their bike and fell into the motorcycle’s lane of travel.
 
The victim struck the bicycle and crashed, sustaining serious injuries.  San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District paramedics were called to the scene, where the victim was pronounced dead.
 
The bicyclist suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to San Ramon Regional Medical Center for treatment. 
 
San Ramon Valley Boulevard was closed between Fountain Springs Dr and Elworthy Ranch Road due to the accident.
 
No charges were filed in the accident.
