After seven months of design and development, the Town of Danville launched a new website on April 30, 2018. The new website is dynamic, mobile-friendly, and was designed with residents, businesses and visitors in mind.
New features on the website include a "News and Announcements" section, providing users with easy access to important updates on the Town's programs, projects, policies and events in the community. These articles combine exclusive web-only articles as well as featured articles from the Town's Quarterly Newsletter, Live Locally. The home page also features one of the Town's videos from its YouTube channel. Events and Meetings are also featured on the site in an easier-to-navigate format.
The "Community Spotlights" section showcases important features and programs offered by the Town of Danville. The "Trending Now" section pulls in the feed from the Town's Facebook page, Twitter feed, and Instagram. The Town's press releases are also highlighted on this section. The new website also features a comprehensive Agency Directory of all Town staff, as well as other public agencies and utilities that serve the Danville community.
Additional features that will be unveiled later in May include a new electronic newsletter system and visual enhancements.
