  1. Buzz Session: Cannabis for Pain and Inflammation

    Presenter: Laurie Light Curious how full spectrum cannabis, and hemp-derived CBD work to combat pain and inflammation? Seniors are among the fastest growing demographics using cannabis medicinally. With legality increasing nationwide, more people are turning to it as a natural alternative to pain killers, sleep aids, and to increase appetite. Come listen and learn with local, Certified Cannabis Educator, Laurie Light, and acquire the knowledge and confidence to use cannabis and hemp for inflammation and pain relief. Additionally, Laurie will provide a list of popular products and discuss how to use them safely.

  1. Kid's Night Out 2020

    January 24, 2020, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Valley Oak Room

    At Kid’s Night Out, kids (ages 3-11 years) spend Friday night creating arts and crafts, playing games, eating snack, and enjoying a movie. Volunteers, 16 and up , are needed to help staff prepare the snack and transition between activities. They will also be expected to aid staff and children during art projects and games. Skills Needed: Enthusiasm, desire to work with children, organizational skills, basic kitchen skills (chopping)

  2. Craft Prep 2020

    January 28, 2020, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM @ Danville Community Center & Library

    Crafty volunteers, 12 and over, are needed to help prepare craft supplies for classes and special events. Prepare and organize craft materials, cut out craft supplies, die cut materials, make copies and sample crafts. There is often a lot of cutting, so if your own scissors are easier to use, please bring them. Wear Clothing that can get dirty with paint, dye, glue, etc. This event sometimes has a waitlist so if you need to cancel please do so as early as you can. It is preferred if you do not sign up for every time slot as these sessions are very popular and we would like as many different volunteers as possible to participate.
