Lighting Landscape Assessment District - Senior Exemption

What is the exemption for?

The LLAD covers the cost of maintaining all median and roadside landscaping, street lights and approximately half of park and facility maintenance. For fiscal year 2023-2024, senior property owners who do not use or feel that they benefit from Town parks may be reimbursed $54.00 of the park maintenance portion.

Who is eligible?

Property owners who are 65 years of age or older by 12/31/2023 are eligible for the exemption on their principal place of residence.

How do I apply? 

Submit the following items to Town of Danville, Attn: Exemptions, 500 La Gonda Way, Danville, CA 94526.

  1. A copy of your 2023-2024 property tax bill from Contra Costa County and
  2. Proof of age and verification of Danville residency (i.e. copy of driver’s license, etc.)

If your property is held in a trust that does not show the applicant's name, please complete the affidavit on the reverse side of the exemption letter form to verify ownership and proof of residency. 

Requests for exemption must be postmarked by December 31, 2023. You will be sent a check for $54.00 within 45 days of the receipt of your request.
