November 3, 2020 Election
A municipal election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Nine candidates have filed to run for three available seats on the Danville Town Council.

The Town of Danville has two drop-off ballot box locations:
1) Sycamore Park & Ride
2) Maintenance Service Center, 1000 Sherburne Hills Rd.
These boxes will be open until 8pm. After 8pm, the boxes will be locked and unable to accept further ballots. If you miss the deadline, you can still mail your ballot via the USPS.
WHERE TO VOTE
Deliver your Vote By Mail ballot envelope in any USPS mail box or one of the permanent ballot boxes available at the Sycamore Park and Ride lot and the Town’s Maintenance Service Center at 1000 Sherburne Hills Road. Voters have the convenience of dropping off their Vote By Mail ballot envelopes 24/7 during election time.

Voters can sign-up at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov to receive notifications about their vote-by-mail ballots. Voters who sign up for the “Where’s My Ballot?” tool receive automatic updates via text, e-mail or phone call when:
- The county elections office mails the voter’s ballot
- The county has received the voter’s ballot
- The county has counted the voter’s ballot
- If there are any issues with the voter’s ballot
Key Dates:
Around September 23, 2020: The Voter Guide will be mailed to all registered voters. The Guide will include a list of polling places, early voting locations and permanent ballot boxes in Contra Costa County.
October 5, 2020: Contra Costa County mails ballots with “I Voted” stickers included
October 19, 2020: Last day to register to vote in the November 3 election
October 30, 2020: Early in-poll voting begins at 16 sites in Contra Costa County
November 3, 2020: Election Day, polls close at 8:00 p.m., ballots must be postmarked on or before this date
December 3, 2020: Deadline for Contra Costa County to certify election results
December 8, 2020: Town Council to adopt election results; three Councilmembers take the Oath of Office
