We are hiring for Summer Camps and Summer Aquatics!
Each year, the Town of Danville depends on nearly 100 seasonal employees to help teach, develop, and safeguard Danville youngsters at summer camps, aquatics, and programs. In addition, they help serve as role models to the children who attend these programs.
Camp counselor and lifeguard/swim instructor positions offer many development opportunities to those who are new to the workforce, in communication, teamwork, and responsibility. These life skills will benefit staff long after the summer is over and into their future. All selected staff go through extensive training to ensure pertinent skills and techniques are mastered.
The Town of Danville is currently recruiting responsible and enthusiastic individuals to lead our annual summer camp and aquatics programs. Summer jobs run from June 5 to July 28, 2023. View the summer camp and aquatics job informational page
Application Due Dates:
Summer Camps: Applications are due no later than May 12, 2023, for summer camp positions.
Aquatics: Applications will stay open until filled for lifeguard/swim instructor positions.

Residency Status Clarification
For residents outside the incorporated Town of Danville limits:
Each quarter, the Town receives a number of questions regarding the residency status for individuals and families wishing to register for Town-sponsored programs and activities. Those living outside the Danville Town limits include residents of the communities of Alamo and Diablo, and the Alamo Creek, Bettencourt Ranch, Blackhawk, Bryan Ranch, Monterosso, Shadow Creek, and Whitegate housing developments. In order to verify your residency in Danville, you can:
- Look up your street address in the index of the Thomas Bros. Guide; it will state Danville or Contra Costa County for zip code 94506
- Review the information on your property tax bill
- Check your residency status online
Fees
The program and facility fees cover a large portion of the actual costs, though Town of Danville residents also partially support the classes, events, and facilities through their property tax assessments. Because of this, those program participants and individuals reserving Town facilities who live outside of Danville pay an additional non-resident charge.
