Two new projects aimed at improving the sidewalks and roads around Danville are beginning this week.  The two projects are:

  • Tassajara Ranch Dr. median curb restoration.  The project will install bike lanes along both sides of the road by shortening and narrowing the landscaped median islands.  The project includes complete repaving, so periodic road closures will be necessary through the area. Work is expected to be completed in July 2012.

  • Pedestrian curb ramp project will install or upgrade pedestrian curb ramps in several neighborhoods in Danville.  Specific locations were chosen based on pedestrian use, proximity to other paving work and routes to public facilities. Clickhere for a map of the locations for replacement. The work will continue through July 2012.

Crews will be on site from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. during the week.  Drivers are asked to use caution when proceeding through the work areas.
