Town of Danville residents interested in learning about how the police operate and what happens behind the scenes at the Danville Police Department, will get the opportunity this spring as the DPD announces the formation of  their second Citizen’s Police Academy. 

Over the next several weeks, police will be taking sign-ups for the newly forming Citizen’s Academy.  Sgt. Jason Haynes will be heading up the academy, which will focus on police methods and procedures. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm – 9:00p.m. over a six week period starting  May 9, covering a wide range of topics.
