Second Round of Social Media Workshop Opens




Back for another round: The Town of Danville is hosting an event to give businesses some tips and tricks for navigating the rapidly evolving world of social media. Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Linkedin, Groupon and Yelp are just some of the many applications residents are using to receive information, and the workshop is designed to help business owners to know how to use them to create buzz about items and promotions they may be offering.

The workshop is set for October 4, 2011 at the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front Street. From 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. attendees will be able to enjoy a continental breakfast. Then, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. the seminar on prospering in the digital marketplace will be held.

Attendees at the event will get a first-hand view of how social media and business work together and how to use the various platforms to generate buzz and promote events. Panelists include:
