With the continued economic turmoil, it is more critical than ever to save money where possible.  One way to save money and be more green is by lowering energy usage in the home and making your home more energy efficient.

As a means to helping Danville residents in achieving those goals, the Town of Danville is co-hosting a forum with the group Sustainable Danville.  The September 19, 2011 event will provide attendees with tips on making their homes more energy efficient and how to reduce costs through rebates and other programs.  One area to be discussed will be the new state program Energy Upgrade California.  Participants attending the forum will receive a breakdown of the rebate options available and how to apply.  Following the presentation, contractors will be on hand to answer questions about improving a home's energy efficiency.

The forum is set for 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. September 19, 2011 at the Town Hall, 400 Front St.
