There are a number of different issues and concerns facing older Americans, and the Town of Danville's Buzz Sessions Series attempts to look at those problems and offer constructive advice on handling them.

The free Buzz Sessions are held  once a week throughout the month, with each meeting addressing a different topic. Attendees gather at the Town Meeting Hall, 201 Front St. for the sessions.  For September, participants can learn about a variety of things, including:

*       Love the skin you're in - A look at skin care with a licensed esthetician
         Sept. 6, 2011  10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

*       Good Shoes make happy feet - Discussion of proper shoes and foot care as a means of preventing lower back pain and other physical issues.
        Sept. 13, 2011  12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. 

*       How to Save a Small Fortune in Home Care Costs - Examining the myriad ways seniors can take precautions and proactive measures to delay the need for care in the home.
        Sept. 20, 2011  1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  

*       How to Handle Dogs and Grandchildren - Dealing with the interaction between a pet and visiting grandchildren.  Also provides alternatives to walking a dog as exercise.
         Sept. 29, 2011  10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
