Annual Event looks at health, nutrition and preventative care

Danville seniors will be getting their cardio at the Senior Health Fitness Day, a yearly event designed to promote healthy lifestyles for older residents.  Held May 26, 2010 at the Oak Hill Park Community Center, the fitness day gives seniors exposure to different health related exhibits and presentations.  Below is the schedule of events for the day.

8:30 Registration Opens (First 50 people get a FREE Pedometer)
Free Breakfast Starts

9:00 Fitness Walk Begins (pre-registration required, call 925-314-3490)-Meet in front of Oak Hill Park Community Center. Walk is around Oak Hill Park.

Exhibitor Hall Opens (9am-1pm)-Exhibitors Include: Town of Danville, Danville Police Department Crime Prevention, Align Healing Center, Bright Star Healthcare, Canyon Lakes Golf Course, Caring Solutions Home Care, Danville Farmers’ Market, Danville Travel, DASHA, Fit Mind & Body, Forward Motion, John Muir Senior Health Services, Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage, Massage Therapy by Jessica Gregory, Skin Savvy and Successful Health & Nutrition Planning.
Health Screenings Begin (pre-registration required for memory screening, call 925-314-3490)

Fitness walk meets at 9:00 a.m. and health screenings will be from
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Box lunch is $3 and will be served at 12:00 p.m.
