Streets in downtown Danville, as well as some in the surrounding area, will be either partially or fully closed early Sunday for participants in the upcoming Devil Mountain Run.

Starting at 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning, Railroad Avenue will be closed down between Prospect Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard. After 7:00 a.m. there will be full and partial lane closures in the downtown as runners prepare to take off for the 5k and 10k runs.

In the downtown, in addition to the Railroad Ave. closing, Hartz Avenue will be closed between 7:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. for the 5k runners; southbound lanes of Danville Boulevard will be closed from 7:45 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and Prospect Avenue will be closed from 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Along the 10k route which goes south from Town along San Ramon Valley Boulevard, closures will affect parts of San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Greenbrook Dr., Camino Ramon and Fostoria Way.  Exit ramps from I-680 in both directions at Sycamore Valley Road will be closed from 7:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Signage has been posted throughout all the affected areas. Closures will be handled on a rolling basis by Danville Police Department and Devil Mountain Run workers and all closed streets/lanes are expected to be completely reopened by 10:00 a.m.  A map of the 5k and 10k routes, as well as a detour into the downtown using Podva Lane, is attached.
