Mayor delivers State of the Town Address
Discusses current/future planning and economic development
The Town of Danville is stable, despite a surging economy and uncertain job climate. That was the word Thursday from Danville Mayor Karen Stepper. Stepper addressed several dozen residents and members of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce at the annual State of the Town Address.
Speaking in one of the banquet rooms at Crow Canyon Country Club, Stepper presented a Powerpoint demonstration to go over the issues the Town is currently dealing with as well as those the Town may be facing coming up.
She gave updates on a number of projects currently ongoing, including the Veterans Memorial Building reconstruction/renovation, the I-680 repaving and the roadwork being done on Camino Tassajara.
Stepper pointed to figures showing that while revenues have gone down, the Town has maintained a stable level of employment and services.
For those interested in the State of the Town, slides from the Powerpoint presentation have been posted online.
