Hundreds turn out for Eggstravaganza
The clouds may have been hiding the sun, but that didn’t stop the spring colors from shining brightly on the Danville Community Center Saturday during the Town’s annual Eggstravaganza. Over 540 residents signed up their children to come out to the event, where the kids could grab their baskets and hunt for Easter eggs.
Town staff and over three dozen volunteers coordinated the event. Children between 1 – 9 years old were invited to participate in the egg hunt. The event was broken down by age group, with the parents out on the grass outside the Community Center helping their toddlers fill their Easter baskets.
For those waiting their turn to seek out the brightly colored plastic eggs, there were plenty of other activities for them to do. From face painting to arts and crafts, the Eggstravaganza provided a cornucopia of fun for area children.
