Lisa Blackwell is the newest member of the Danville Town Council. Prior to joining the Council, she was a Commissioner and Chairperson for the Town’s Parks and Leisure Services Commission and was very involved with the revision and community input process for the Parks Strategic Plan.
Lisa is passionate about education and the youth in our community and volunteered in leadership positions in the San Ramon Valley Schools for over two decades. She has also been a mentor for the past ten years for students at Richmond High School helping students get into California Universities.
Lisa is actively involved with many liaison roles that allow her to be in touch with youth issues in our community. They include Street Smarts, SRVUSD liaison, Parks Commission liaison, and Community Services Representative for the League of California Cities. She is also currently serving on the Board of MCE, (Marin Clean Energy), Danville’s Community Choice Energy Company. Her other duties involve representing the Town at ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments) and DVOC (Dougherty Valley Oversight Committee) meetings.
Lisa has lived in Danville with her husband Brad for over 32 years. They raised three daughters who attended San Ramon Valley Unified Schools and were SRVHS graduates. Lisa and Brad recently became new grandparents and are thrilled that their families live nearby in Danville.
Lisa is grateful to represent and live in an incredible community with excellent and safe schools, a vibrant and historic downtown, wonderful community role models, and above all a generous spirit.
