The Town currently has five Commissions. To learn more about the duties and responsibilities of these voluntary Commission positions, please follow the links below:
Arts Commission - 7 members, 1 alternate and a youth representative, 4-year terms.
Parks & Leisure Services Commission - 7 members, 1 alternate and a youth representative, 4-year terms.
Heritage Resource Commission - 7 members, 2 alternates, 4-year terms.
Planning Commission - 7 members and 1 alternate, 4-year terms.
Design Review Board - 5 members and an alternate, 4-year terms.
The Town also has established the following committees:
- Historic Design Review Committee.
In addition, the Town Council appoints representatives to the following agencies and boards:
- Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging,
- Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District,
- Central County Contra Costa Transit Authority Citizens Advisory Committee,
- Contra Costa County Library Commission,
- Contra Costa County Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee (County Connection),
- Iron Horse Trail Corridor Management Program Advisory Committee,
- San Ramon Valley Emergency Preparedness Citizens Corps Council
- Southwest Area Transportation Committee, and
- Tri-Valley Affordable Housing Committee.
The Council also has liaison appointments with the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), City of San Ramon, the Dougherty Valley Oversight Committee, League of California Cities, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District (SRVFPD), San Ramon Valley Unified School District, TRAFFIX Traffic Congestion Relief Agency, and the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District.
